5. New Memories to Make This Spring
The Qubein Children’s Museum, North Carolina’s 2022 Visitor Attraction of the Year, is home to many exciting exhibits and a double-decker carousel. Kids have access to many different play areas and options depending on their sensory needs.
- A Special Blend is a coffee shop that provides meaningful employment to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They originally opened in Greensboro and have chosen High Point to be the home of their second location. They serve gourmet espresso drinks, baked goods, ice cream, and breakfast sandwiches.
- Distractions Art Studio is loved by kids of all ages! They offer walk-in paint-your-own-pottery, board, and canvas painting as well as workshops, summer camps, and classes. They also offer “Sensory Safe Hours” every first and third Saturday from 11 am until 1 pm and every Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm. During this time, guests can enjoy a more quiet atmosphere.
