For the Thrill-Seeker
If it wouldn’t be October for you without creepy clowns with chainsaws or hair-raising stories, then you can’t miss Spookywoods and Mendenhall Homeplace’s historical Halloween events.

Kersey Valley Attractions | 1615 Kersey Valley Rd. | Archdale, NC
Spookywoods is re-themed each year and this year you will be transported to the town of Kersey Valley and their annual Foundation Day celebration. Visitors of the town will explore the Graveyard, Funeral Home, Butcher Shop, Mine Shaft, Beastro, and more. Enter at your own risk!

October 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd | 4 pm-6 pm
Deep River Cemetery | 5300 W. Wendover Ave. | High Point, NC
There aren’t many places you’d want to avoid more than a graveyard on Halloween, unless it’s the Deep River Cemetery where you can experience an informative tour about the people who rest there. This guided tour promises to be fun, illuminating, and only slightly spooky.

Friday, October 28th | 6:30 pm
Mendenhall Homeplace | 603 W. Main St. | Jamestown, NC
Listen to ghost stories in the very places that they occurred. This guided tour through Mendenhall Homeplace will take place at dusk and guests will hear true stories of the macabre in this over 200-year-old home.
For the Trick-or-Treaters
High Point has lots of options for the trick-or-treaters. The following places plan to keep the creepy to a minimum and the sugar at a maximum (sorry, parents). There will of course be something in it for the adults. The Adams Family Halloween will be serving spirits and Kersey Valley offers cider donuts and a guarantee that you’ll leave with tired kiddos.
