Whether you decorated for Christmas November 1st or are waiting on Thanksgiving before dragging the tree out of storage, High Point has the events to get you in the spirit (in your own time!).
Saturday, November 19th | 12 pm
The High Point Holiday Party kicks off the holiday season! This all-day event begins at 12 pm with a Main Street Trolly Hop, which takes guests to 10 different locally owned retailers so you can get a head start on your holiday shopping! Along the Truist Point Stadium concourse, there will be a Holiday Market and Kids Zone. Parents can shop from the more than 50 local exhibitors while kids can play on one of the seven bounce houses or get their face painted! The official Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 5 pm, complete with Christmas carols, fireworks, and Santa!


Saturday November 19th | 3 pm-11 pm
Experience High Point in a way you never have before by discovering all the flavors of greater downtown in one afternoon. Stroll in downtown to stop into participating businesses and partake in samples of delightful drinks and savory foods. During the event, enjoy food and drinks from participating vendors, the social district, the tree lighting from 5 pm-6 pm, and the After Party with a live DJ from 7 pm-11 pm.
November 25th-December 23rd | Varies
Kersey Valley Christmas is a one-of-a-kind, immersive Christmas experience. Visitors can enjoy the Candy Cane Lane walk-through light display, the Kersey Valley Express Train Ride through Wild West Christmas, hot chocolate, fresh apple cider donuts, and more! Kersey Valley Christmas also features many festive photo ops, including Santa’s Workshop, Santa himself, the Grinch, the Magical Carriage House, and over a dozen live characters. Grab the whole family and head to Kersey Valley for an action-packed Christmas experience.


Sunday, November 20th | 3 pm
The High Point Holiday Festival Parade begins at Green Drive and travels north on Main Street to Qubein Avenue. It will be an hour and a half of floats, music, dancing, and fun! There will be bleacher seating available so you can take in all the sights. This year’s parade will feature a Food Truck Court so guests can enjoy tasty, festive treats while they wait for the parade to start! There will be food trucks from 1 pm to 6 pm, including Kyle’s Coffee, Eighty Six Doughnut Company, Gianno’s, and more. Santa’s sleigh will also be available for a festive photo op!
Holiday Craft Bazaar
December 3rd | 9 am-1 pm
December 4th | 1 pm-5 pm
The Holiday Craft Bazaar is the perfect opportunity for you to get those unique gifts for your loved ones. Browse holiday decorations, teachers’ gifts, toys, wood crafts, jewelry, and more! There will also be a food truck on site on both days. Visitors can even meet Santa!


Saturday, December 3rd | 10 am-4 pm
The Uptowne Holiday Stroll brings the “Sights and Sounds of Christmas” to High Point! This signature High Point event features Holiday Open Houses at Historic Homes, children’s activities, carriage rides, trolleys, food trucks, and the highly anticipated Stocking Stroll! Stockings can be purchased at local retailers and filled with goodies from various merchants, including Cindy Lou’s, Simon Jewelers, Pen & Pillar, and more, on the day of the Holiday Stroll. Visit High Point will feature a petting zoo, hot chocolate, face painting, vendors, a letters to Santa station, and cookies
Saturday, December 3rd | 5 pm
This annual tradition is as beautiful as it is timeless. Experience the magic of the Nutcracker right here in High Point! Adults and children alike will fall in love with the exquisite costumes, imaginative set, and captivating story.


Sunday, December 4th | 1 pm-4 pm
50 years of the High Point Museum Holiday Open House! This event has become a local favorite and visitors can experience historic tours, reenactments, demonstrations, and music! The museum will also offer free activities and treats, including candle dipping, crafts, cider, and cookies. The gift store will be open for holiday shopping as well as the historic buildings.
December 9th-11th | Varies
A favorite High Point holiday tradition is the musical version of the beloved classic, A Christmas Carol. This lyrical take on a quintessential Christmas tale is sure to entertain all ages. It only runs for three days, so be sure to get those tickets before it’s too late!


December 19th-January 15th | 5 pm-8 pm
This is your opportunity to get in the festive spirit from the comfort and warmth of your vehicle! Each holiday season, High Point University is transformed into a winter wonderland with the help of more than 100,000 Christmas lights. As HPU continues to grow and develop, so does this incredible free experience! This year’s show will feature a life-size Nativity scene, 235 Nutcrackers, and the Triad’s two largest Christmas trees at 74 and 64 feet. Come see the new campus facilities and the over-the-top decorations you can’t find anywhere else!
