High Point Holiday

Back to Main Blog

The Holiday season is finally here! While things are a little different this year, we must still spread that holly jolly cheer. Here’s how you can get in the spirit of giving in High Point this year:

Take a Ride in a No Horse Open Sleigh

The stage is set! Whether it’s daytime or at night, stop by the High Point Public Library and take a selfie in the sleigh provided by Guilford Merchants Association. Post your photos with the hashtag #selfiesleighGMA or send your photos to info@mygma.org so a few of them can appear in newspaper ads or on social media sites!

HPU’s Annual Community Christmas Event

Continuing with the tradition of a free Christmas Event for Triad residents, High Point University is offering a festive, safe way for local families to celebrate the Christmas season together. The HPU Christmas Drive will welcome families to campus again this year to enjoy the holiday decorations and sounds of the season from the comfort of their vehicles. The event will take place December 19th-January 1st from 3pm-8pm. During these 14 days, guests are invited to drive through campus to enjoy views of the more than 100,000 Christmas lights, a candy cane DNA structure in Congdon Hall, a life-size Nativity scene, 138 nutcrackers and soldiers and other holiday decorations!

Support your local vendors and businesses this holiday season! Stop by Nutrition on Main Saturday, December 19th between 3pm and 5pm to enjoy free samples of their Gourmet Shakes & Energizing Teas with Soothing Aloe, while shopping the many various hand-crafted items from local vendors. Find anything from jewelry to candles and bath bombs and even elf poop!

The Elf on the Shelf picture with the most likes on Monday, December 28th will receive a $50 gift card that can be used at any of the Blue Restaurant Properties!

The Nutcracker
