Put the “happiest place in High Point”—Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum, located downtown—at the top of your list of must-dos. This state-of-the-art children’s museum, which opened at the end of April 2022, boasts 75,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor activity, including two floors packed with hands-on exciting exhibits and an outdoor adventure zone with a double-decker carousel.

The brand-new museum is fun for children of all ages, from babies to teens. The diverse, interactive exhibits include everything from a Courage Climber to Mars Academy to lego rooms and STEAM labs. Even better? Daily admission is only $10! Reservations are required (and tickets go fast!), so purchase tickets ahead of time.

Ziggy's Space

Another new High Point hot spot to check out is Ziggys Space, an outdoor live music venue in downtown High Point. Here you’ll find family-friendly concerts throughout the year, with performances by both well-known and upcoming artists, ranging from country to reggae to rock and everything in between.

Ziggy’s is located at COHAB Space, one of the newest creative hubs in High Point where visitors can look forward to a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

Outdoor Fun

If you and your kiddos love agritourism destinations where you can enjoy a fun, hands-on experience with nature, High Point has just what you’re looking for! Locals and visitors from all over love to visit All-A-Flutter Farms, a butterfly and pollinator agritourism farm located less than 10 miles from downtown. Book a farm tour to get up close with the butterflies and other farm critters, or catch a family show on select Saturdays throughout the year!

 

For a variety of outdoor adventures, Kersey Valley Attractions is just the ticket. From ziplining to outdoor laser tag—and the sunflower extravaganza in late summer/early fall—parents and kids alike will have a blast all day long!

City Lake Park also offers a number of outdoor family-friendly activities. Here you can enjoy it all—boating, paddling, riding trains, playing mini golf, riding the carousel, and more. Buckets full of memories are waiting to be made at this classic High Point hangout.

The team plays at Truist Point Stadium, located downtown in the heart of all the High Point action. If you and your crew love to hike, head to Piedmont Environmental Center, a short drive from downtown High Point. This scenic preserve offers 6.6 miles of nature trails, educational classes for all ages, and small animal exhibits.

Oak Hollow Golf Course is a particularly special course, as it’s one of the few Pete Dye-designed municipal golf courses in the country and has been ranked one of the best courses in the South. This scenic course is also situated next to Oak Hollow Lake and Campground.

After a day of golf, stop at one of our local breweries for a cold, locally made craft brew. Enjoy a beverage within the Social District while visiting the walkable businesses downtown. Participating partners within the Social District include The Blooming Board, Truist Point Stadium, Plank Street Tavern, and Bevelry and Cahoots, both located inside Stock + Grain Assembly.
