New Year, Best You!

It can be hard to keep up with your goals throughout the year, especially if you’re out of town, on the road, or visiting a new place! High Point is ready to welcome you with open arms and open gyms! Wellness tourism continues to grow and is expected to become a $1.1 billion industry by 2025 (according to a Global Wellness Institute report). If you are someone who is looking to stay fit while traveling, High Point has made it easy to keep up with those goals with many options for massages, facials, fitness classes, and more. Check out many of the incredible resources to help you be your best you below. You can also check out the Health & Wellness category on our events calendar for exciting upcoming events and explore more Health & Wellness businesses here.

Treat Yourself

Looking for a relaxing massage? Tranquil Touch, Helpful Hands Massage, and Un-Knot You are just a few of the many massage salons in the area with a range of specialties.

Tranquil Touch offers 60 to 120-minute massages, body wraps and scrubs, hot or cold stones, and even a massage designed specifically for pregnant women. They also offer dermaplane, microdermabrasion, rejuvapen and several other facial options.

Helpful Hands Massage has a wide menu of services from massages to facials and more. Along with traditional massages, they also offer some unique treatments such as a heated deep tissue bamboo massage, lymphatic drainage massage and a reflexology foot massage. Their facials can be personalized based on your skin type, and their body wraps and detoxifying ionic foot bath are great ways to cleanse your pores and reset.

Un-Knot You is a physical therapy and massage studio that offers specialized treatments designed for people recovering from an injury, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts. This includes joint mobilization, kinetic taping, cupping, and more.

Go With the Flow

High Point is also home to many yoga studios. Soulstice and Humbled Warriors Yoga are two great options. Soulstice has a diverse range of services including classic Quigong, Tai Chi and Meditation, along with more unique sessions such as Womb Yoga, PEMF Therapy and Bioharmonic Technology.

Humbled Warriors Yoga may be a more traditional yoga studio, but they offer classes for all skill and experience levels, with many variations for beginners through experienced yogis.

Hit the Gym!

Although it can be difficult to continue working out while traveling, High Point makes it easy with several gyms that offer drop-in classes. Club Pilates and Pure Barre both offer a free first class, and Burn Boot Camp and 336 CrossFit allow drop-ins for people who do not have a membership.

Who Says Running Can't Be Fun?

If hitting the pavement with friends is more your style, be sure to check out one of High Point’s many running and athletic clubs! Whether you’re a beginner looking for a new way to get healthy this year or a seasoned professional looking to stay motivated, you’ll be able to find a group that fits your vibe. All of these groups welcome visitors, so don’t be afraid to jump in while you’re in High Point!

Brown Truck Brewery‘s Badass Run Club meets every Tuesday at 6 pm and takes off for a walk or run at 6:15 pm. Enjoy meeting some new friends, a no-pressure run, and some delicious pints from Brown Truck!

Goofy Foot Tap Room partners with neighboring Fleet Feet High Point to host a weekly Walk & Run Club on Mondays at 6 pm. Meet at Fleet Feet, head out for a greenway run, and then kick back at Goofy Foot for a beer (or two!).

High Point Athletic Club is entering the year of the “full send” and you can, too! HPAC offers weekly group runs, coaching, strength training, and massage therapy for beginners and elite runners. You can join them for their Tuesday Track Nights, Thursday Pub Runs from Potent Potables, or Saturday Groups Long Runs.

Find Nutritious Eats

Along with massages and yoga and fitness studio, High Point also has many options for a healthy post-workout meal. OrganicAF is a cold-press juice bar that serves teas, smoothies, and coffees created to maximize nutrients and flavor. Located in Stock + Grain Assembly Food Hall, Harvest Boards & Bowls is a new health-focused restaurant that has fresh salads and carefully created charcuterie boards.

Whether it’s your New Year’s Resolution or you’re just looking for a healthy way to spend the day, High Point has a variety of experiences designed to help you be the happiest and healthiest version of yourself in 2024.
