Become A Certified Autism Center
Visit High Point is proud to be recognized as a Certified Autism Center (CAC) through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This designation reflects our commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive travel experience for visitors who are autistic or have sensory needs. Visit High Point was the first Destination Marketing Organization on the East Coast to achieve this certification.
To further strengthen this commitment, Visit High Point staff have also completed training to become Certified Autism Travel Professionals (CATP), equipping our team with additional knowledge and tools to better serve travelers and support businesses working toward certification. Through these efforts, we continue to elevate our standards, expand accessibility, and help High Point grow as an inclusive destination for all visitors.

Through partnerships across the city, local hotels, attractions, restaurants, and other businesses have completed specialized training through the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards. This training equips management and staff with the knowledge and tools to better serve neurodivergent guests and their families, helping ensure that visitors can explore High Point with greater comfort, confidence, and support.
