High Point Museum

Learn all about Greater High Point’s history at the High Point Museum. Several exhibitions featuring the city’s furniture heritage, the piano and fifth-grade black history report of jazz musician John Coltrane, and a collection of 30 exquisite miniature rooms are sure to leave you with a lasting impression. Right next door to the museum you will find the Historical Park that features the historic John Haley House, Little Red Schoolhouse, Hoggatt House, and a working blacksmith shop. On Saturdays, these buildings are open for visits, demonstrations, and hands-on activities led by staff in period clothing. The Museum is a Certified Autism Center and offers sensory-friendly programs throughout the year. If you’re looking for local souvenirs, the Museum Store has you covered! Stop in to pick up High Point postcards, locally-made items, NC pottery, and more. Explore High Point beyond the Museum by downloading the High Point Museum app, which features driving, biking, and walking tours across the city. The app is available on Apple and Google devices.
